The fly over on Jessore Road

The fly over on Jessore Road

So here's a new news. I think you've heard it before. Yes its about the Jessore Road, the NH 34. Previously it was said by the officials that the Jessore road will be broaden, but no assured date. So people were curious about the details, that how will it happen, how the shops alongside the road will be shifted to a different place, how many people will get affected what will be the benefits bla bla etc.

So I'm gonna try to cover all those questions here in this article.

The Fly-over bridge which was proposed to be made on the Jessore road will be started shortly. The bridge will be 1115 meters long and 10 meters wide. It will be made from the Yogendra Nath High School to Hiralal Murti. The state Government has announced that no one should be shifted forcefully. And if so then they would be provided resettlement.

But I've come to known from a local news source (Sthal Bandar) that over 500 businesses have to move from their place but the Municipality has no clue where to resettle them till date. But the affected are not showing any aggression toward the decision as they want the bridge to be made and they know that this is necessary for further progress of their own town. But to secure their business they had given a deputation to the SDO and he accepted that. But could not give any guarantee that their demand will be full filled. And if full filled; there is no count how many of them will get the resettlement.

There are lots of benefits alongside all these affects. And thats why the decision was taken. Bongaon is a border city. Petrapole is a very active border and plays a major role in the import export business of the two countries, India and Bangladesh. This makes the roads very congested due to the transporting trucks and other heavy vehicles. And causes the roads to be accident prone. Every year numerous lives are gone on the Jessore road. Not only Accidents but the traffic jam too. Locals people face this problems in their daily lives. So if the bridge once made these problems will be lessen. So we can hope for the best.
